How creativity is oppressed through traditional education

Purpose Creativity has been positioned as a critical workplace competence, especially in societies which conditions are rapidly changing. The fact that traditional educational processes oppress creativity is theoretically important. purpose of the present paper to map process teacher-directed learning and how oppresses creativity. Design/methodology/approach A theoretical conclusion drawn there primary secondary oppression with learning. Findings It proposed pathway “high achieving pass” for learners make knowledge constructions mirror educator (rewarding non-creative outcomes). secondary, silent powerful mechanism where learner does not “buy in” accept their inculcation. student here may indeed produce creative outcome from process, but they likely be judged work “low or fail. Originality/value seeks identify accumulate over time until quashed.
